Each individual faces a unique set of circumstances that dictates how and when they will retire. Some people plan for an early retirement, while others feel they will never be able to retire due to inadequate finances,or other financial constraints or health issues as you reach retirement age. If you are one of the lucky few who are reasonably well set financially, have good health and little-to-no guardian responsibilities, then you need to embrace retirement as a new phase of life with unlimited possibilities.
Some like to stay at home when they reach retirement age and enjoy life.
When you retire there is no need to rush, as things can be done at your leisure now. Many folks will sit back relax and enjoy the leisure time, while others do not, as they want an active retirement. After a period of time staying at home doing very little, they get bored and would rather become active and do other things outside the home, and experience what the days Felt like when they were active and involved.
Sports
Golf can help you get exercise and fresh air, as well as tennis, botchy as and many other outdoor activities and it provides opportunities to meet other people and make new friends. Other opportunities retirees may enjoy is art or music or other hobbies that they can now devote additional time to pursuing.
Volunteer
Retirees can do Volunteer work in Hospitals, Soup Kitchens, or with other wise working with social organizations. Or some may go back to school to accomplish another item in their Bucket list.
Second career
Many people choose to work during the traditional retirement years often because they need the money, enjoy the job or both. Some retirees find part-time jobs or seasonal jobs or revert to work similar to the jobs or profession that they worked in. Or some work at hobbies that retirees have enjoyed during their work years and have found a way to make money and find enjoyment.
Entrepreneur
Workers who no longer have jobs working for someone else are increasingly putting their skills to use in new ways by becoming entrepreneurs. Over five million people age 55 and older have their own business or are self-employed, and the number of self-employed people between ages 55 and 64 is growing rapidly.
