Minimal Maintenance Retirement homes

Homes when you are a retirement traveler

For those who subscribe to the traveling lifestyle, there are some other considerations. If you are going to be gone for long periods of time, the outside yard area may even look a bit overgrown, after some of your foreign travel when you return. Some of you might think about a town home. The outside of the home landscaping and mowing is managed by the HOA and looks the same when you leave and when you return for your lifestyles. Town homes can be attached or detached in this area. Those who like a home with a little bit of space for your real estate might choose a detached home, or a single family home, that in most cases has a master bedroom downstairs, and has the HOA care for the landscaping. A Carefree Lifestyle for you in retirement.

They are usually homes with 2 Bedrooms on the main floor and if there is a third floor, it is usually upstairs, as we age it is more difficult to climb the stairs, so it is better to have the exercise with a stepper or tread mill on the first floor. In some communities, the town homes are attached, with some having a small patio, and some have a garage as well, and others do not. While many retirees are downsizing, the prices of the new retirement homes are rising. There are less pricy homes in areas surrounding the Charlotte area that have similar amenities and still have similar possibilities as a place to retire. It is important to  look for minimum maintenance homes, as things can happen when you are away.
