If you are going to be gone for long periods of time, the outside yard area may even look a bit overgrown, after some of your foreign travel when you return. They are usually homes with 2 Bedrooms on the main floor and if there is a third floor, it is usually upstairs, as we age it is more difficult to climb the stairs, so it is better to have the exercise with a stepper or tread mill on the first floor. In some communities, the town homes are attached, with some having a small patio, and some have a garage as well, and others do not. While many retirees are downsizing, the prices of the new retirement homes are rising. There are less pricy homes in areas surrounding the Charlotte area that have similar amenities and still have similar possibilities as a place to retire. It is important to  look for minimum maintenance homes, as things can happen when you are away.
